The vehicle penetrates the pores carrying the inhibitor pigment inside them, helping to eliminate corrosion. On the other hand, the molecules of the synthetic resin tend to remain on the surface preventing corrosion from occurring on the treated surface. Due to its high oil content, the coating has a relatively slow or drying time to allow maximum wetting of the substrate.
